This bed frame is a BEAST. I was pleasantly surprised by how heavy it was when it showed up on my doorstep.Made of thick gauge steel tubing. I love the super clean, 4 legged appearance. Super easy to put together. I have an 8" memory foam mattress on it and it works great! I shopped ALL OVER for a decent frame like this and this hits the sweet spot of price and quality. I would buy again. My only thoughts are: if you have difficulty manipulating heavy objects, get a friend to help you...seriously.

This bed frame surprised me in so many ways. Great quality, very easy to assemble, the slats are all connected in one piece and attach to the frame with Velcro on a metal lip which is lower than the seen metal frame, so you do not see the wood. It looks nothing like a store bought frame, and for me, it looks much better than any modern platform frame I searched for. The height is perfect...the dogs can jump up without a ottoman, (saving walking space), and you can lay in bed, rather than lay against a headboard to watch TV. And yes, you do NOT need box springs, which makes it the perfect height for the higher mattresses.

My husband and I assembled this in about a half hour. It was pretty easy. It's sturdy and looks nice, especially for the price. Really, my only complaint is that I anticipated 7 inches of clearance under the bed, but with carpet, it's more like 6.5--just enough shorter to mess up my under-bed storage plans.
